The use of native plants in landscaping is becoming increasingly popular. Native species can be easy to grow, provide seasonal interest and attract desirable creatures such as butterflies, hummingbirds and other wild birds to the landscape. The Invasive Species Action Plans will include efforts to inform the public of the benefits and opportunities of utilizing native species.
Native plants are becoming more available in the trade. This site will serve as a resource on the identification, use and availability of native trees, shrubs, groundcovers, vines and wildflowers for use in residential and commercial landscapes.
